A sobering number: Medicaid covered 1 in 5 births in 2022—about 1.5 million births. The program is essential for preparing the future generations of our country by providing access to health care from the very start.

Of all the folks who count on Medicaid, one in eight are people with disabilities. The program provides a lifeline for millions. Cutting it would be a huge mistake.

Since the FMLA’s conception, the benefit has been used over 500 million times. That’s 500 million times families didn’t have to choose between a loved one and a job. However, FMLA doesn't guarantee pay and nearly half of workers aren't eligible. What we need now is #PaidLeaveForAll #FMLAat32

This type of work is otherwise known as "gig work" and it's time for policymakers to take a closer look at the implications of this type of work on workers' rights and overall equity.
