Journos put in a lot of effort on Twitter with little in return with regard to traffic. Getting to 2 percent of referring traffic was difficult for my former company. Facebook and Google easily led way (25% to 45%) … this was 10 or so years ago. Old numbers, yes. But I don’t think much has changed.
