If buying seeds look at Sandhill Preservation. They are dedicated to preserving heirloom seeds and live poultry and are really good people. The seeds are cheaper than most seed houses but everything is done by snail mail. They are super efficient tho.

If you purchase open pollinated seeds you can save them for following years. Hybrids don’t come back like the original tomato, they will revert back to one of the parents that were cross pollinated to create the hybrid. Besides, heirloom tomatoes are best and you will have something to barter
