Trying to leave the world a little better than I found it.
An older video but a fascinating look from Developer Vanessa Wingårdh on the concept od "robotheism" and how some people use AI for divine connection. In a world full of loneliness ai can see how people can become attached to AI's reassuring tone.

Okay. I am not claiming this exonerates anyone, but stories focusing on the number of mentions are somewhat misleading. Epstein had a clip service that sent news to his inbox. Since Trump is in the news; some mentions make sense. We need to consider content rather than volume.

My mentor Margaret Grebowicz has an interesting piece in The Conversation. As a cat lover, I do disagree with some of her characterizations of us; her overall point is well-made. We need stronger human connections for the good of ourselves and our beloved pets.

Played a clip of Trump's speech in Davos for class analysis. All the students immediately clammed up and struggled to voice their opinion on what made the speech effective/ineffective. They said they were afraid. This fear permeates our culture, and when we stop talking, we all lose.
