I like your headcanon, but it's explained in the scene. It's Ben's (previously suppressed) memory of his father. Luke even told him in TLJ, "strike me down in anger and I'll always be with you. Just like your father." Leia reached out to her son, Rey killed Kylo and Ben was effectively revived.

I know everyone who's read it says the same thing, but Shadow of the Sith massively elevates and validates the big swings taken in TROS. It's an excellent book that stands shoulder to shoulder with the very best Star Wars novels. My (Sith) eternal thanks! 👏🏻

I was out for tea at a pub yesterday and a lady was eating an improvised toast fry up sandwich in one hand and shovelling in beans with the other. This is England. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Eh, I thought it was perfectly cromulent. But then, going in with the knowledge that it was a bit derivative and safe probably made me (ahem, "us") appreciate it more. The animation slaps too.

Yeah I understand the marketing rationale for it and I do enjoy the weekly analysis. I just think the story doesn't benefit from being stretched over several weeks when the episodes are so short. If we had more to chew on then it would be different. I had no issues with The Penguin, for instance.

Really enjoying it so far. Short episodes are only a problem when you have to wait a week for them. I really wish Disney+ would just drop whole seasons like Netflix.

It's out at 2am on Tuesday, not Wednesday, as they brought it forward a day.

This is the version I grew up with - my mum and dad had taped it (and all of the OT) for my brother. Later in life, I was impressed with how well they'd timed the record pauses to disguise the advert breaks! 😂

As with most modern Star Wars films and shows, it's underappreciated because creative choices and a few bits of silly hokum (pictured) are regarded as canon-breaking, absurd and/or 'objectively bad'. I could do with a bit less shaky cam cinematography, but I love the story and message.

Every time I see someone say this, I think, "yep, right answer", even though my favourite is ANH. 🤷
