“Zeitgeist, which leverages LLMs trained on our archive, was particularly valuable for generating topic-based article collections. But — and this is important — all AI-generated content was edited and verified by product managers and copy editors to ensure accuracy and quality.”

AI “assist with three key tasks:
Content curation:

- Identifying relevant articles across 168 years of journalism
- Quiz generation: Creating comprehension questions based on course material
- Mobile optimization: Formatting content for mobile-first experiences”

I was called up by another AI interview tool recently - Boardy. It said it was asking me questions in order to help me network at an event I'd signed up to but then said at the end it would contact me on WhatsApp and the number it phoned me on doesn't have WhatsApp so I never saw what happens next

Anyway… all this is just another thing on the long list of what AI has taught me about being human.

When the people around you have a different format bias: I felt stupid for a good portion of my life I felt like I was stupid because books weren’t my format and my family are the kind that have lots of books all over the house and think a perfect Saturday afternoon is reading a book.

I am super excited about text-to-speech innovations BECAUSE my format bias is audio.

I have to remember that others won’t be that taken by this.

I have been thinking that it is important to be aware of your own format bias to make sure you don’t fail to communicate with someone because you insist on using your own format preference.

A bit like your love language but less fun.

As someone who writes about our rapidly changing tech landscape, this sounds interesting.

(I particularly like the word laggard and haven’t managed to get it into my writing.)

It’s mortifying when I publish something and I realise there is a name spelling mistake in there. Big up Eagle Eyes Lucy and the amazing copy editors I have had in the past who have caught these mistakes, they should be treasured.

It could lead to a huge information divide. Some people may end up not having access to trustworthy information.

I am new to working on a philanthropically funded project so don’t know much about this world. But I wondered if projects are in competition - if they both apply for the same finite amount of funding?

I use the term “information ecosystem” all the time - especially when talking about the future regarding AI and the news industry. I would love to know what is wrong with this term and am happy to explain further what I mean (and would love a better replacement term!) if you do write something !
