One in four people have criminal records. Many more got into trouble with the police at some point. Can we let people move on and contribute to society (and reduce the number of people with records)?
Louise Haigh case speaks volumes about our inability to let people rehabilitate - she did something stupid & criminal years ago, pleaded guilty, got lowest court sanction & moved on in her life. Her criminal record no longer appears on basic DBS checks but will do on Enhanced www.fairchecks.org.uk
