Mostly sketches, these guys are so great to draw, especially making them go thru it

Learning curves. The painted one was my first go with the button but I kinda didnt like how it was coming out, kinda ruined it with the paint. So I started over using different tools, used wood burner (with respirator, stay safe), burnished & I really like the second attempt!

Foam cut into a button shape with the dips of the inner circle burned in from a wood cutter. Four white dots mark where the holes need to be.

Side by side comparison of the first attempted button and the second try. The first button is spray painted blue with a rough texture from uneven spread and bumpy surfaces, four holes are way too small. The second is unpainted but has a smoother surface with four bigger holes.

For my mental health & for funsies, I’m gonna make a thread of progress for my Ragatha cosplay!

First up, first time working with Eva foam to make the button eye & cleaver props! I constructed the cleaver similar to how blades are made, something I picked up from watching hours of Forged in Fire

Messing with muppets! I challenged myself with drawing the Count and Big Bird from memory, then drawing from reference. Then I just doodled a bunch of muppets for funsies!

Experimenting with materials. Note to self:wear fucking gloves more! But! I am getting somewhere!
