It's one of those things where it was very lost in translation, and comes up every so often because especially back then stuff wasn't really localized in a way where they'd end up knowing there was a very different interpretation of her in other parts of the world.

Gentle reminder that paid reference packs that were made by human beings are pretty cool things in your back pocket, especially compared to the questionableness of using Google or Pinterest for references.
