I’ll be there selling my two latest books, Rainbows in the Snow and The Best I Can Do.

Another holiday event confirmed! I'll be selling and signing my books at this Holiday Bazaar on Sunday, December 7, at Glenwood Heights Primary School in Vancouver, WA. This will be a fun event.

Tomorrow in Hillsboro, OR: I'll be selling my books at the Holiday Bazaar at MorningStar Senior Living, 1075 NE Amberglen Parkway. From what I've heard, there will be a lot of handcrafted gift ideas for the holidays.

I'm excited to be reading from my memoir, The Best I Can Do, at a fundraiser for the Oregon Food Bank at the Rose City Book Pub in Portland tonight. My reading is scheduled at 5:10 p.m.

This event will be a lot of fun!

I'm returning to Seaview, WA, on Saturday, October 4, to the PNW Authors Book Fair. If you're on the southern Washington coast, stop by and say hello. Special guest Fredrick Cooper will be reading from his novels set in Southwest Washington and Southeast Alaska.

Animal Aid's annual garage sale is on Saturday, August 23, at Southwest Auto Body & Frame, down the hill from the shelter. Stop by and shop. Most items are "name your own price".

I'll be there, helping in the morning. Hope to see you there!

Cats Paw Saloon, 3565 SE Division Street in Portland, OR is hosting Animal Aid on Wednesday, June 11, 4-7 p.m. There will be a four-specialty drinks menu available that night through June 15. For every drink that is purchased, Animal Aid, a no-kill shelter in Portland, will receive $1.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Some trivia:

- Blue was the original color used to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. The color changed after the shamrock became Ireland's national symbol in the 18th century.

- The first St. Patrick's Day parade was not in Ireland. It was in St. Augustine, Florida, in 1601.

During the past year, several new author fairs and bookfests have sprung up in the Pacific Northwest. Here's another one that will be at the Warner Grange in Canby, Oregon, on Saturday-Sunday, April 12-13. I will be there. If you're around, stop by and check out the books available by local authors.

At the bookfair in Seaview, Washington, last weekend, the coordinator gave each author a goodie bag. I found this polished rock at the bottom. May everyone have great success in their lives!

If you're on the southwest Washington Coast on Saturday, October 5, stop by the Peninsula Church Center at 5000 N Place in Seaview (near Long Beach) for the annual PNW Authors' Book Fair. Thirty Northwest authors, including me, will be selling our books there.

The Best I Can Do received another award today!

My books will be on sale tomorrow at the Northwest Independent Writers Association's booth at Multnomah Days in Southwest Portland. Animal Aid will also be there; our booth will be directly across from the Multnomah Arts Center.
