life lately 🌊 summer always slips by so quickly! i did detroit bookfest, visited chicago and my former college campus (northwestern! 💜), and saw the harold washington library for the first time. guess who i saw on the shelf!

I loved these books, partially because they remind me of how my now-husband and I fell for each other: late-night messages, exchanged manuscripts, and guiding each other through big life uncertainties. 🎀🖤

Nara 🦌 I always thought deer were skittish and gentle, but these jerks will come up and bite your butt for snacks (some are polite and will bow, though!) The botanical gardens were gorgeous.

Mount Inari is one of the coolest places I've ever been, especially with twilight falling on the shrines in the forest, and the city lighting up below.
