I can see that damaging military aircraft is an act of egregious stupidity that is bound to lead to serious consequences for any organisation that promotes it. But I still think that arresting people solely for peaceful expression of support for that organisation is wrong and abhorrent

Seriously, Julien? I respect your analysis and expertise on many topics profoundly but I can’t agree with you on this. I can see that the terrorism act allows some kinds of what would otherwise be criminal damage to be labelled terrorism though no intention to terrorise may be involved./1

There’s a difference between agreeing that spending on disability shouldn’t be rising so quickly (if that’s the conclusion you’ve reached after studying the underlying reasons ) and agreeing that the government‘s proposed cuts are the right thing to do!
