Loved being at the 2025 ICPSR Biennial Meeting as a council member. Great convos, thoughtful sessions, and a quick break for local ice cream. Grateful for this community and excited for what’s ahead.

I haven’t shared many recent knits—I've been on a quick-project streak lately! Here’s a sweet little squash hat and matching mittens I made for a colleague who just welcomed his first child 🧶🧡

Just finished #knitting this hat using leftover yarn from my sweater! Had to unravel it twice before finding a pattern I loved, but it was worth it. A fun, cozy piece perfect for a preteen or teen!

The stress #knitting continues—this time with cast iron handle covers and pot holders!

Another knitting project complete! This time, I made a cozy scarf for Mack—and it happens to match his glasses! Happy coincidence!

🧶 Pattern: Dudester Scarf by Jana Pihota (@HyperKnits)
🧵 Yarn: A mystery worsted-weight find from my stash—feels like a wool-acrylic blend.

Super easy pattern!

A weekend of endurance and support! A couple of us ran with a friend for the last few miles of her 20-mile run before her marathon. Big congrats to Lani, who qualified for Kona at Ironman Arizona after 10 years of hard work! So grateful for this amazing community of friends who lift each other up!

#HappyVeteransDay to all who have served and are continuing to serve! Below is a photo from the Warhawk Air Museum in ID, featuring my great-grandfather, Joseph Baker. My great-uncle, a fellow vet and curator at the museum, created this display in his honor.
