I’m absolutely rooting for him. He seems like a great teammate. He just gets so much negativity sent his way because he’s a junior who hasn’t been able to find a way to consistently contribute playing-wise. ☹️

Just have to make sure the players that are providing those flashes are retained. It’s all I care about this offseason.

Love this and agree with it all! Every loss still sucks but I am proud of this team and the growth they are showing. Our young core could be really special if they stick together.

The second bullet is what sucks about college basketball today. Nigel has made some comments after the last couple games that make it hard to believe he’d leave (how much confidence Shaka gives him, “we’re building something special here”) but you just never know how loud the money speaks. ☹️

Sucks that they couldn’t pull that one out, since I feel like that could have given them a lot of confidence, but I agree and hope they can build off what they did well in that game.

Are you implying that they need to let Shaka go? I hope he stays because I don’t think he should be fired, but I’m honestly wondering if he resigns. The college basketball landscape is a dumpster fire and I wouldn’t blame him for not wanting to deal with it anymore.

Ugh, this totally sucks. I really liked him and expected so much from him this season 😩 it’s so depressing how quickly #mubb has spiraled. I wonder how many more players we lose this offseason. 😞

Happy Holidays to you too!

Well, he said “no” when asked if he’s leaving the team. Which I don’t really take much from. I am still worried he is and they just didn’t want to announce it that way. 😞

Really confused and disappointed about Zaide. Hoping he can snap out of it and get back in the lineup.

Absolutely. I’m still behind them 100% and am not bailing.
December 7, 2025 at 2:10 AM
Yep :(
December 6, 2025 at 10:55 PM
Yeah, it’s so disappointing. He was one of the most exciting players at the scrimmage last summer. I chalked last season up to his injuries but apparently there’s more to it than that.
December 6, 2025 at 10:55 PM
I’d hope that the Marquette culture is stronger than that, but winning is the most important thing and players won’t want to stay on a losing team. ☹️
December 6, 2025 at 10:50 PM
He didn’t travel with the team today due to illness. But apparently that’s fueling speculation that something else is going on there. 😞
December 6, 2025 at 9:05 PM
It’s going to be tough to win if they score 5 points every 8 minutes. 😞
December 6, 2025 at 7:22 PM
Unfortunately any realistic fan can tell that it’s not just a possibility, but basically guaranteed at this point. They’ll most likely be going into conference at 5-6, which means 11 BE wins to be above .500. Hard to see where that would come from unless a couple guys suddenly click and step up. ☹️
December 3, 2025 at 9:36 PM
Same. I still have some hope for Lowery and Parham, but Owens is a mystery. He looked so promising before last season and I thought his lack of playing time last year was due to the injuries he had, but no idea what’s going on with him now. ☹️
December 3, 2025 at 4:45 AM
Yeah, I’m concerned about Lowery after tonight. Don’t know if he had something going on, but he was out of it and I’m not surprised that Shaka sat him. But we need him to not disappear.
December 3, 2025 at 4:13 AM
I felt this way going into tonight, but that first half was brutal. It seems like nobody has any confidence right now.
December 3, 2025 at 1:56 AM
I get the frustration over it as well, but am in the camp of understanding where he’s coming from with it. The portal can be tricky and is no guarantee of fixing your problems instantly. Depending on how the rest of this season goes, we’ll see if he can find a way to adjust.
