I know what you mean and I get told off for putting exhibitions together that have too much stuff in them but theres! so! much! However storehouse is an aesthetic. No labels, no descriptions, v limited explanation. Someone elsewhere told me it was so you can curate it yourself. Hmm. Elitist?

Also while I’m on the soapbox please resist the temptation to go v&a storehouse with your stuff. Curators and storytellers bring your collections to life. Give your audience the tools to learn at every level.

Haven’t been for a while because its always too much but yes, I want to see things! Tell me stories about the things! Science museum is very mixed too. The whole group pay staff appallingly badly. These are flagship museums, and should be funded so. Tourist tax with exemptions for low wages, yes.

The LCC planners in County Hall couldn't open the windows because their plans would be covered in dirt and grit. Up to 4,000 died in the Great Smog of 1952. Today? Air quality is on the up and up. 'Yesterday's Britain, A Better Britain' is a sick joke. Never go back. (2/2)
