And here in the manuscript you can see Milton's earliest concept work for PARADISE LOST - here still conceived as a drama rather than an epic poem, with a cast of characters including Michael, Lucifer (a name he doesn't use for Satan in the finished work), Adam & Eve, Death, Faith, Hope, & Charity.
