Yeah... yikes. Ch 3 wasn't even that bad. I didn't feel like the characters introduced were throwaways. Can't say the same for Ch 4. The Critters and Pianosaurus were pointless; Yarnaby and Harley just.. die; Doey was cool, his final form was kind of weird. Prototype twist wasn't that shocking.

Sorry to hear that the tech issues are so prevalent. Maybe gift an experience for now? Do LEGO/a puzzle while watching a favorite movie; cook her favorite dinner; you're an excellent artist, maybe make her something? It sounds cheesy, but being able to spend time together is always amazing.
