Panning for ?tin. One of a series of murals painted by Eric Lai on heritage buildings in Ipoh (Malaysia) backstreets. The mural depicts two people in wide-brimmed straw hats stooping with panning baskets against a butter yellow background with some blue sky. Picked up cut-price plums and cream today, had unused pastry in the fridge, so baked this tart for #Friyay #Dessert in the #Airfryer . Learned to make it decades ago from a swiss farmer's wife during a working holiday on a farm.

Love this use of #punctuation in the product brand name.

(Double points for this product from me because its shape matches its name.)

The top of the 'anchor' carries the table slats and the two anchor hooks support slats for the incorporated bench seats. The concrete is inscribed: ANCHOR "FAST" NOTTINGHAM. A quick internet search seems to indicate the company is not currently in business. What a pity, very witty.

Went up into the forest during #auroraborealis 2024 for darker sky shots. The aurora was very faint and only visible through the lens. Cropped this shot and played with phone gallery edit features.

All lit up ready for Merdeka (Independence) Day on 31st August.
Petronas Twin Towers, KLCC, Kuala Lumpur. The left-hand tower is lit up in the colours of the Malaysian flag 🇲🇾 . The right hand tower is in shades of gold, bronze, pale green and brown (have not ascertained why).
