According to DOJ, “Ivan” and “Mouna” — the same names as the CEO and CFO of MoonPay — paid a scammer pretending to be from Trump’s inaugural committee $250k.
(MoonPay, which has said it got a massive windfall from Trump’s memecoin, did not respond to a request for comment).

FTC Chair Ferguson has loudly defended Trump's firing of two Dem commissioners.
But 2 years ago, he promised Senators he’d follow SCOTUS precedent, specifically citing a 1935 ruling barring presidents from firing commissioners.

Despite the razor-thin House majority, Reps. Cory Mills and Kat Cammack have had meetings with Gov. DeSantis about Rubio’s Senate seat.
Mills also announced plans to run for the seat in 2026, even if he’s not the appointee now. DeSantis didn't sound thrilled about that today...

There is some ambiguity in what “services” could trigger the ethics req. and a $5k outside contribution limit. But because Trump’s entirely private approach is unprecedented in recent history, this is the first time these limits are being tested.

Presidential transition law — including 2020 ethics reforms Trump signed — hinge on a president actually *wanting* govt help.
Trump’s fully privately funded transition exploits that loophole, rendering the law’s contribution limits, ethics & disclosure requirements toothless.

ICYMI: Crypto PACs spent $180M+ on elections, more than any other industry. One critic called it a “crypto-shaped club” looming over Congress.
An industry letter to Trump & Congress lays out the “friendlier regulatory environment” payout they’re looking for.
