I had to say goodbye to my beautiful Minx yesterday. She was 16 and I'd had her since she was a kitten. In that time I only spent one full night away from her. She saw me through Mum's death. She was such a clever, funny and crazy cat. I will miss her for the rest of my life.

I found this sweet cockapoo walking on his own as I was on my way to work. I was a bit wary to approach him at first as I've read if they are lost they can get spooked if a stranger gets near and I didn't want to frighten him into the traffic.

Feeling a little dishevelled after walking round Cheddar Gorge. Some quite steep and rocky parts which I wasn't too fond of, but the woods and views are lovely.

It's a bit of a glum day. Hope you're feeling cheerier. I've been watching the house martins whizzing past my bedroom window. They're very busy this morning and too fast to photo so here's a little sparrow who was having a perch earlier.

The mirror I ordered all the way from Peru arrived today. I've put it up in the bathroom. Now it's not that I don't trust my handiwork, but I have covered the basin with a duvet and put pillows all over the floor, just for this evening.

I'll put a little feeder outside the kitchen window, I thought. It'll be lovely to watch the little blue tits and sparrows while I'm washing up, I thought. 😄
