TIL that the excess yeast from the Marston's brewery is sent down the road to become Marmite. From the book Miracle Brew by Pete Brown
Marston's take the yeast from the trough and keep it in yeast storage tanks, known as sputniks, which sit at each end of the Union room. What they don't need goes to a factory on the other side of Burton to become the core ingredient of Marmite

Ugh, just checked and turns out my pension plan contains Tesla shares (and 'masculine energy meta' as well). Guess I'll be spending my weekend trying to find a new one - expecting it to be hard though...)

And further down my end of #Walworth is going to be a new Burrito place and what I think is the location of the new Post Office. Add to that the new Sainsburys local hopefully opening soon opposite.
