this is why idfw the theory that Violet is unreliable or that there are gaps in the story because her memories were erased by Imogen. she is not the one telling the story!! someone else is!! and this person may not have had access to all the material or not all the events may have been recorded!!!

also, I think a lot of the adults who are so aggressively into YA books and hate adult books have some deep rooted issues with sex, but none of them are ready for that conversation

the problem with saying "if you want real yearning then you have to read YA books" is that while that statement IS (mostly) true, the main characters in those books are literally CHILDREN. and as a 30 yo woman myself, I really do not want to read about CHILDREN and their romantic escapades
