Earlier this week, the county came to us with a new offer. Today, CCEA members have voted to ratify the contracts. This means we will not be striking on Monday.

The county has presented our members with an offer which included an ultimatum, so our Monday mediation session has now been canceled. On Monday, the CCEA negotiating team yet again met with the county’s negotiating team. Throughout the session, the county’s negotiating team once again maintained that they "do not have the authority" to make decisions and insisted they needed to consult with the Board of County Commissioners.
