Its new for us to have a “downhill” in the second half of the season. Its always been anfield and the ethiad in april or some other crazy set of away fixtures. very excited to see us possibly turn into a buzz saw

I think we know plenty about slot the manager and very little about slot the coach. He basically didnt touch their system and kept the team motivated and clicking last year. Now we’re going to find out if he can problem solve as the game continues to evolve

Trossard only real problem is that he’s always in a physicality battle that he can’t win out right. He makes up for it by having really efficient use of the opportunities he does get to score or assist

Although we have a lot key players/role players that are young and very good or very young and developing. Saka, saliba, timber, MLS, martinelli, califiori, nwaneri. None are over the age of 24. And 4 more key players are 26 (zubi, odegaard, kai, rice). This feels like a good distribution of ages

also, it killed the game. We lacked some goals in leading positions last year that would have enabled us to do exactly what we've done in the second half and give minutes to role-players and rest some of the starters. These minutes will pay dividends later in the season

arsenal was always Leo’s big payday (deserved) and for what we paid for him and his role in the squad he’s been phenomenal. We’re paying for him to be grumpy on the bench and score grumpy goals without him actually being grumpy in the locker room. Seems like a fair deal
