had an idea for a Wrath and Glory one-shot that somehow resulted in two solid days making and painting tiny church furniture. still need to highlight the table and lectern but I’m happy with it so far.
my messy desk with two tiny (32mm-ish scale) gothic church pews. they are made of card and wooden drink stirrers and painted a dark, cool brown, dry brushed with lighter brown highlights. two tiny kneelers for the tiny pews. they are made of wooden drink stirrers (with tiny bits of card glued underneath for height) painted and highlighted in the same way as the pews, with three bits of felt stuck on each for cushions. the felt started out red but now is wine coloured from being heavily shaded and dry brushed. two more pieces of tiny church furniture. the first is mantic games’ holy tome terrain piece (a plastic 28mm-ish scale lectern with a book on it) attached to a piece of foam board as a base that is weathered to look like dark grey stone. the lectern is painted a cool grey, and not yet highlighted (though my lamp is doing it’s best to make it look like it is). I have added 3d printed candles to it and the “stone” in front. they are currently painted warm beige, including the flames, because I haven’t finished them yet. next to it is a high table (maybe a bit too high, scale-wise) built out of card and wooden drink stirrers, and painted in the same style as the pews and kneelers. there are clusters of 3d printed candles on it, too, also unfinished and beige. a view of the lectern from the other side, showing the steps built into it and the shelf that the books stand on. it is fairly obvious that the lectern isn’t finished as the blue wash I used to give it shading has pooled a bit on the flat areas. the shelf is painted dark brown with a bit of gold decorating the edge. the book is open showing beige pages, which are currently blank (but heavily shaded) and a red bookmark ribbon. what can be seen or the cover is wine coloured with little gold bits at the corners. the candles are still beige and unfinished.
