Maybe they should just do a movie set many years after his death, where a real estate agent and a reality TV crew get caught in the supervillain lair of one of his enemies long after they’ve both died.

I’ve been using it for decades at this point, so definitely not you (sorry). My assumption is that I read Leonard Maltin or someone like that say it about a movie based on a stage play when I was like ten, and I looked it up and liked it and just kept using it.
