I think the thing I’m most upset by is willful ignorance. It’s a bad time to be alive.

Something that is deeply missing in terms of modern community is intergenerational interaction. Thanks to my lifestyle, I’m often connected to people of all ages… but it really feels like that’s a lost art.

1 of my favorite parts of any live show is the calm before the storm. The backstage huddle b4 a band hits the stage. The energy starting to buzz in the performers the crew & the audience. Even on a good corporate gig that feeling exists. It’s like the build up of electricity b4 a lightning strike.

I’m so damn proud of myself, and endlessly grateful. Like a few of my “Tweets” this may seem boastful… but quite the opposite. I’m just trying to document when I actually take the time to acknowledge myself. I’ve come a real long way. Not perfect, still good.

It’s funny that I just saw Mary again on @jococruise.bsky.social… cause our travel today (and honestly every time) has me thinking of this “game”… Suffice to say Thomas & I could use some drinks. Hope we make it home.

An online acquaintance was advocating for generative AI to replace certain jobs. I fired back with the gif below. As it turns out, this person claims to be a professional “visual artist”. How dumb can you be? I’m so sick of being annoyed by people’s stupidity. Seems like a full time job lately…

I feel like that TikTok trend of people being confused that a mirror shows objects hidden behind a sheet is so indicative of what’s wrong with the world. A mirror doesn’t show your perspective, it shows what’s there. The reality of the world is not about your perspective. Duh.

I “Inception”-d myself last night. Had a dream, woke up & explained it to a friend at work. Then I woke up from that dream. Trippy.

Not exactly sure what her position is on this show… but the whitest Utah woman of all time just mentioned that she “didn’t understand” the halftime show.

At this gig, Fox News is playing silently on one of the monitors. Lower 3rd reads “Trump Improving Government Efficiency” & “Trump Keeping Campaign Promises”. I knew people were delusional, but seriously? 😒

Corporate & broadcast audio are so weird. I’m so used to rock & roll - show up & immediately get rolling… Meanwhile I’ve been poking around leisurely for an hour or so on this desk, just waiting for shit to get done around me. Weird. It’s a good change of pace every once in a while.

OH YOUR GOD… The Southwest ticket scanner was broken so they were looking at our boarding numbers & manually inputting them. I glanced over after the gate agent scanned mine & the family in front of me had the last name of Balls. Yup. Not even “Ball”. Balls. Those poor kids. 🫠

Post my relatively serious first post… here’s an #airportstory. Shoutouts to the white girl who sidled up to the bar next to me & ordered a triple vodka with a twist of lemon, to go. Hell yeah brother.

I honestly don’t know what the future holds. Lately the world has made me miserly & bitter. Every day I’m trying to bring back my optimism & generosity. It’s like working a muscle that’s atrophied, but it’s something worth doing. Persist & resist.
