Here are some early iterations of the Spacemobile road units. They were transport vehicles, carrying all of the equipment, props and models to millions of students over several decades. Most lecture-demonstrations happened at school auditoriums for a while, then focused on teacher training later.

I never really know why anyone follows me, but if you are a follow back, how sweet! I study the history of science, NASA history, science education, and mobile science education in the 20th century. My dissertation is about NASA's Spacemobile program, which operated for decades in the States.
