I've been off Bluesky for a minute, but thinking of engaging again. This article from the St Louis Jewish Light about my book launch (not til Oct 25) asked me some good questions.
The Jewish family secret hidden for generations comes to light - St. Louis Jewish Light

Elon Musk’s company owns 62% of all active satellites orbiting Earth. Trump’s “Iron Dome for America” plan might get him paid—even if it doesn’t actually protect anybody. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
Trump’s “Iron Dome” looks like just another payday for Elon Musk
An American replication of Israel's defense system doesn’t make sense. But, experts say, it will likely set up SpaceX for big government contracts.

“If you could even get to where a system like this could be made to work, the costs would be literally astronomical. That needs to be made clear to the taxpayers, who would ultimately be paying the bills.” www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

A letter from the "Acting Assist Sec for Civil Rights" of the Dept of Education. When I read it, I knew he had been a student of Hillsdale College. I researched Hillsdale for my forthcoming book, "By the Waters of Paradise," (new title) and I recognized the arguments. www.ed.gov/media/docume...?

At her confirmation hearing to lead the Department of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem says she will work with president-elect Trump to reinstate the "Remain in Mexico" policy. That program subjected tens of thousands of vulnerable migrants to kidnapping, assault, and extortion.

For some reason I've been thinking about the most conspicuous contribution by Kevin Hassett, soon to be Trump's top economist, to Trump 1.0: a model predicting that Covid deaths would drop to zero by May 15, 2020 www.vox.com/2020/5/8/212...

My book, HIDDEN IN PARADISE, is my memoir of the personal toll of anti-Black racism in my American Jewish family.
I love history, and I uncovered a lot, but stories connect past to future. A story I had to tell.
My book has been approved for publication in 2025 by Wayne State University Press.

Now is a good time to subscribe to Haaretz. For $100 a year you get excellent reporting on Israeli news from a left-of-centre perspective, plus you support a newspaper Bibi is trying to silence for criticizing him.
