Medicare reimbursements rates can be set at anything. I live in Europe many months a year. Health care there is wonderful. They have plenty of providers who enjoy their work and live well. There are few wealthy people in medicine in Europe but I swear the doctors are happier.

Healthcare can't be free unless we have epically slaves. It is how it is paid for that is the issue.

Not communism, corruption! Communism is government ownership of production entries. Of course, that is happening too and not always bad. Norway has state ownership of oil production. That has worked out nicely for Norway.
