A typical semi automatic rifle has a cyclic rate of usually less than 150 rounds per minute. Whereas an M16 or AR15 operate at closer to 600 rounds per minute. That is what makes it so deadly, it can spray a lot of lead quickly.

I’m not even sure what you are trying to say here but bullets do all travel at different velocities. A colt .45 is about 740fps while the 5.56mm round is about 3250fps. That aside, think a little deeper about why the high capacity mag is useful. Read next

Military service is the only segment of the population that is subject to double jeopardy. You can be tried by a civilian and a military court for the same offense. But hegseth is not subject to the UCMJ so no court martial for him.
