"AI work is just as good as human work" is a statement that *always* flows from the direction of power. Employers to workers, producers to consumers, but not the reverse.

Because it's not a thing people actually believe, but an argument: slop is good enough for you; you are slop.

Medicaid is not for sale.
NASA is not for sale.
The Post Office is not for sale.
America is not for sale.

We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

I hate modern corporations so fucking much I’d take gaudy 90’s live action cashgrabs over whatever it is we’re doing now any day
Did anyone seles see that trailer??? Why are we making 1 to 1 live action remakes of animated movies that are still perfectly palatable

It’s a bit sappy but I love that I never get tired of reading. Like there’s always something new to discover in books. Reading Rainbow and Wishbone were so right!

New self-portrait for my portfolio site. Original was done with ink and ink wash, digitally finished to colorize.

Every time you don't buy a book from Amazon, but use a good indie store who actually values the sale & treats you & your purchase with respect, the sun shines brighter, floofy puppies gambol in fresher grass, & Jeff Bezos's piles sting for just a biiiit longer.

Sounds GREAT to me.

Buy independent.

My brain feels absolutely cooked, and all day I’ve been like, why can’t I get anything done? I haven’t been drinking, got enough-ish sleep, had my coffee, eat my gruel, all the while never really considering that the underlying cause might be *gestures at everything*
