Was the free poster still inside?

According to a friend of mine whose Dad worked in the AV trade, the reason a lot of those cheaper TDK tapes were so bad was because they weren't manufactured by TDK at all. They're essentially "badge-engineered" tapes and this was also the case with the TDK TV VHS tapes as well.

I seem to recall he did the same in print ads advertising the Acorn Electron and its various expansions.

Half the price of an Ecoboost cambelt, I can tell you that much.

I'd have wondered the context of your post if it wasn't for the picture.

Cabriolet's really ought to be owned by people who can afford to garage them over winter, unlike my parents who had a Mk5 Astra TwinTop - even though it was a folding hardtop, the seals weren't great which resulted in it leaking like a sieve & the interior & boot became quite damp & musty.

That's Dave Hill. Jim Lea is standing next to him in the bluish-grey outfit.

I happened across GB News while flicking through, trying to find out if a particular programme was on. They want to be taken seriously yet the whole thing looks like it filmed using an old 3 megapixel webcam. Even TV-am could manage better than that and they were often plagued with technical issues.

Yes, I recall Ford brought out their Fiesta 1+2 door concept 13 years before, called the Urba. AMC did similar years before on the Pacer by making one door longer than the other. Only thing with Hyundai is they've somewhat hidden the 3rd door in the styling making it look less strange.

I love the graphics of games from this era, admittedly more than today's graphics. Yes, near-photo realistic graphics is nice but the novelty soon wears off for me.

You've put 56-59 but only listed 3 colours. Is Sylvan Green No. 57 or No. 58?

Subaru Impreza or Toyota Celica

In that it might turn out like the CityRover and needs a specific part which is either cost prohibitive or not available anywhere in the UK in order to avoid being scrapped further on down the line. Tatas tend to be like that.

I got into casiopea thanks to @garagehirst.bsky.social and never looked back.

Don't know if it meant anything as the song it picked was "If Everyone Was Listening" which is a Hodgson-penned song rather than a Davies-penned one.

Bit of a odd thing happened earlier today. I glanced at this post briefly as I was off to work. Got into my car and started it up. Then the stereo sprung into life. I've got a USB stick with over 8,000 songs on it. Out of all of those, it randomly selected a Supertramp track which was quite weird.

Are you one of the people in the frame that shows for half a second in between the fireworks footage?

I'd be surprised if there were many Horizons left, let alone this.

I liked Battlefield 1942 mainly for the ability to fly/drive the various vehicles in the game, the billboards in Battlefield 2 advertising the Core 2 Extreme CPUs, as well as Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for the destructible environments. Other than that, War FPS games don't really interest me.

"Prevents accidents". Yep, seems accurate.

You only have to watch one video different to what you normally watch and your recommended suggestions are forever tainted, even if you delete the video from history! Ask me how I know...

So it scans the documents before it shreds them? If only Enron had had one of these...

I had Hifly tyres once on my last car - I had aftermarket alloys and the tyres came with them. They weren't anywhere near bald and yet during a spirited drive along an A-road, I still nearly ended up in a ditch.

I don't know why the 1.3 Endura-E was considered disappointing. I thought it was quite a fun little engine and very rev-happy.
