You may absolutely be right. But if they're going to stick with the "it was a mistake" then they have to go forward like it's an honest mistake and react accordingly. I think that the whole "well, we're not gonna" supports your theory!

It's the one thing I've always insisted on with the people I work with - when you've screwed up, make it right. Admit you made a mistake. This is just about being decent f'ing human beings. This whole thing makes me sick.

More or less a classic case of starting the fire then pointing to the burned out husk of the house saying, "See, I told you it was a fire trap!" They want to make sure it's well and truly broken so people are begging for solutions they are too happy to provide.

The most frightening thing here is that it makes them targets for the most violent of the MAGAheads. The man has NO shame.

I had actually gotten complacent due to the comfort I took in waking up each day during the Biden administration knowing that I could trust that nothing cruel, evil, depraved or just generally f'ing stupid was perpetrated by the POTUS overnight.

It's likely it's something he heard in a briefing that he took out of context (or not, who knows) and he decided to run with it. Seriously, someone needs to take his phone/tablet/whatever he uses to post with away and let him just watch Fox News from the residence all day.

Of course I had to get dogs with high prey drives and chickens won't survive around them. *sigh* Guess I'll just have to start a garden so I have access to some veggies once the deportations start.

He believes he deserves respect and reverance because he is POTUS and should be beyond reproach. But he is not a king or given some divine right. He is a civil servant who works for US. There was nothing disrespectful about what she said and she absolutely should NOT apologie and neither should we!
