I bet that's part of it! I was thinking that Trump needs Mamdani more than the other way around. Before Mamdani won, Trump was calling him a radical Communist, and threatened to punish NY if they elected him!

Trump's an opportunist if nothing else. Like the line in the Bob Dylan song Like a Rolling Stone: "You just want to be on the side that's winning." He has no loyalty to anything or anyone, so I'm no more or less incredulous about this turn of events than anything else he does.

I voted for @sanders.senate.gov and think he'd have made a great POTUS
I think Democrats/Liberals/Progressives need new leadership in BOTH houses of Congress.

Here in the US, I try my best to ignore the stupidity, insanity and mean-spiritedness constantly flowing from the horrible people now in DC. I can't apologize enough for the unfair and unwarranted tariffs, insults and threats to Canada. Working, hoping, and praying for a better future!
