That was very, very special. Bob in spectacular form, a spellbinding performance from first note to last. The sound in the Waterfront was pristine, every note, every word crystal clear. I don’t think I’ve ever heard Bob in as fine a voice & form, just magical 😎🎶👌

Only discovered last night that Channel 4 in the UK will be showing the series Say Nothing. It’s a taut, powerful drama set during the troubles in Northern Ireland & based on actual events. If you haven’t seen it, it’s absolutely worth a watch. Brilliant television.

An outstanding movie, one of my favourites. It’s literally a slow descent into madness. There are few things better than Dirk Bogarde acting a Harold Pinter screenplay directed by Joseph Losey. #FilmSky

I have just discovered that the actor who plays Bruce’s mother also played Maizy Russell the youngest daughter in Uncle Buck. Now I feel very old 😬
Caught the Springsteen movie last night. It’s a solid, if uninspiring portrayal of the Boss’s recording of the Nebraska album. A lot of Bruce wrestling with his demons, flashbacks to his contrasting relationships with his parents & tensions with his record company. #FilmSky

This was excellent, a really enjoyable read. Not your run of the mill history, but one told through the landmarks & people who made it. Laced with personal anecdotes, many of which I could easily relate to & which had me reminiscing about my own experiences. Lovely stuff @feargalc.bsky.social 😁
