So here’s something fun… before I left on vacation, I had to re-apply for Medicaid for my mother because she lacked the desire to get the information she needed to. My sister told her when I was away. Mom’s response: Tough Shit. Bitch, I’m doing this so YOU don’t end up on the street! Argh!

I have been vaccinated for Covid every year since it was available…I think my first shot was April, 2021. It’s January 1, 2026 & I’m still alive. It’s like all those falsely called rapture dates.

I can no longer say that my most western state that I’ve ever visited. I am currently in a hotel in Oklahoma City. I’m headed to Grand Canyon.

I just did a very un-me thing. I waited until the last minute to pack for my trip which lead to a terrible night’s sleep & me waking up at 3:40am to finally pack my clothes. Learn from my errors friends! Pack ahead! (I know many of you already do!)

My mother…the woman who didn’t buy us clothes for years because all we needed was our school uniforms…continues to ask my sister for the world. Which in turn makes my sister guilt me into spending my money on her. I hate this. I hate all of this. My mother is not a fucking princess.

So I’m asking for a promotion as I found out all the new hires were hired as Grade 10 & I’m still a Grade 9. Talked with my manager about it & she wants me doing all of Grade 10 work before I get the promotion. Am I wrong in saying that this is crap? 1/

Apparently #AppleTV has smell-o-vision…I’m watching the new movie #TheLostBus which is about the Paradise Fire in CA a few years ago & I can smell fire. I know it’s my neighbor’s using their fireplace, but it took me a minute to realize what was happening!

So I’ve been doing something weird for me. Outside of Monica’s office there is a patch of stones. I’ve been picking a couple up after session, bringing them home & painting encouraging messages on them. I’m a terrible artist & I haven’t taken pictures, but I will in 2 weeks when I’m back in person.

I had a call with my mother’s care team today. My mother is on meds for PTSD. News to me! Where did she go to get diagnosed? That’s going to be a fun conversation with Monica tomorrow.

My mother is back in the hospital. She fell at the new place & hit her head. She’s not making any sense. She’s mixing up her timelines. She got some X-rays & she’s waiting on. CAT scan. She’ll be in the hospital overnight at least. The results of the tests will depend on how long she stays.

My mom got moved to a new…hopefully permanent facility today. I am about to visit her…reluctantly. My sister is still pretty sick & my brother is, as always, an ass.
