#healthcare costs in the US are out of this world.
Picture it: a mostly healthy, 30-something (who, of course, looks 23) needs about 7 injections a year to manage a chronic health condition.
The insurance cost? Nearly $130,000.
The alternative? Death or poverty.

Today has been incredibly difficult. I’ve found myself crying, on and off, many times throughout the day.
Despite this, I’m going to bed and choosing to wake up tomorrow and continue fighting.
Hope is a sometimes distant lighthouse, but a lighthouse nonetheless. Let’s endure and fight together.

The attacks on science continue. The GVRC has been instrumental to me as a scientist and, more broadly, the field of gun violence prevention. This funding cut would significantly set back research in critical areas related to GVP.

The attacks on science continue. The GVRC has been instrumental to me as a scientist and, more broadly, the field of gun violence prevention. This funding cut would significantly set back research in critical areas related to GVP.

After a more than 4.5 hour delay our pilot timed out and Delta couldn’t secure a replacement. Their negligence has caused me to miss my husband’s birthday.
