Thrilled to be at Gesellschafts und Wirtschaftsmuseum for my research project. 4+ hours yesterday taking in exhibits, spatial design, etc. Today interview w/ staff re: programming, future plans & how they see contemporary practice in relation to institution's history

Yesterday's Catholic history pilgrimage took me to St. Andre Bessette, who is entombed at L'Oratoire Saint‐Joseph du Mont‐Royal. Fun fact for this @uconn.bsky.social attendee of 2025 @ncph.bsky.social conference? In his youth, St. Andre worked in a textile mill in Moosup, CT!

Also 2 days, 2 saints. Today: St. Marguerite Bourgeoy, who is entombed at Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours , which has inactive archaeological site underneath revealing the earlier chapel structures that stood on the site since 1678. Pre @ncph.bsky.social conference wanderings

Credit to Duolingo for keeping me engaged in my German language learning on a daily basis. One goal for my sabbatical is to dive deeper into grammar and comprehension with learning tools that more time intensive study.
