Biting down hard over something he said.

A doorbell, soon a caprice note with a rose
Tears touch petals as the scent hits her nose

Firm hands appear, then a kiss on her neck
Anger sails into lust, it's all hands on deck.

Bellwether Moment:

A bellwether scent hugs my lungs.

I cannot decide if I’m suffocating
or holding my breath.

A branch strikes my chest,
splinters bursting me into song.

A sound echoing on wet leaves,
the birds listen.

This is my moment,
and I treasure it.
