This photo was taken in Iran 15 years ago today on my cycle trip from UK to Vietnam. It's a photo I took from my guest house in Alamut of a snake charmer putting on a show. Alamut was the location of the castle of the Old Man of the Mountain, the original assassin, now just ruins.

Who needs to cook when these Thai imports are available in my local Asian supermarket? Mmm, instant carbonara bacon noodles! Vegetarian to boot.
And no, I've not tried them yet. Bought them on a whim whilst stocking up on other goodies and still not plucked up the courage...

Just had a test ride of the new @bromptonbicycle.bsky.social G Line bicycle. Very very nice; many years ago I took my old Brompton touring down the coast of Thailand. This feels even better for that sort of trip, just got to find a way to broach the subject with my partner

Bit windy overnight and the climbing roses finally broke the trellis. Should've done a much harder prune this spring
