basically making housing more "attainable" - Help to Buy was one example. there are better models, I suspect

I think at this point it's actually quite hard to argue that Britain has a housing *bubble* - high prices are largely the result of low supply and high demand (or high need)

I think in terms of housebuilding grinding to a halt, a lot of that's London flats, but in terms of mortgage rates reducing affordability, that's broader
