Climate Justice Alliance (CJA) is a growing member alliance of urban and rural frontline communities, organizations and supporting networks in the climate justice movement. Member organizations lead CJA by anchoring major Just Transition projects.
We cannot wait for governments to lead — peoples’ movements around the world are leading, pushing for change in the flawed UN climate spaces, at the People’s Summit, in our own communities, and beyond.

That’s why we all must make sure the voices of reason by those on the frontlines of the climate crisis continue to ring loudest — that we continue to build people power together for Just Transition. (When we do, we win!)

A climate agreement that doesn’t mention the fossil fuels causing the climate crisis? Make it make sense❗

It’s only “logical” when the process has been co-opted by fossil fuel lobbyists.

Today, on Trans Day of Remembrance, we honor the trans lives stolen by violence, neglect, and injustice.

As a climate justice community, we recognize that the same systems that endanger our planet also endanger trans people—especially Black, Indigenous, and other trans people of color.

Our public lands are being weaponized to track, profile, and detain our neighbors. MAGA policies are turning parks into mass surveillance zones instead of places for joy, healing, and connection.

“To build a world of abundance where all life in endless diversity is given opportunities to flourish.” This is the world that we can actively build, with Indigenous leadership at the fore.
November 12, 2025 at 3:45 PM
An abundant world is possible, and in many ways, already exists. We need to listen to frontline communities on the ground and implement their solutions —solutions that address deep inequities, the root causes of climate change, and are already proven to work.

While millionaires continue to profit from extraction and deregulation, the only thing that will be in abundance is harm. If that harm continues to fall on communities suffering cumulative impacts from pollution, we must ask ourselves: abundance of what, and abundance for whom?
November 12, 2025 at 3:45 PM
The climate crisis is only getting worse, yet the U.S is actively deregulating the fossil industry and defunding clean energy projects.
November 12, 2025 at 3:45 PM
Meanwhile, the “Abundance Agenda” being pushed in the U.S is a misinformed approach to solving our climate and infrastructure crisis by cutting community and environmental safeguards.

CJA members in Belém for #COP30 attended the Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature (GARN) gathering, which brought together Indigenous leaders from around the world to share ancestral knowledge, discuss collective strategies, and strengthen cross-cultural alliances.

Geoengineering is a Dangerous Distraction!

Trying to address climate change without phasing out fossil fuels is like plugging one leak while the boat is flooding from every direction — you can’t win if the source of the damage stays untouched.

Western Alaska has been hit by hurricane-force winds, ravaging storm surges and floodwaters that swept homes away and displaced communities. Deeply inequitable systems amplify the impacts of the destruction on marginalized communities.

October 13, 2025 is Indigenous Peoples Day

Indigenous Peoples have always been on the forefront of the fight for climate justice to protect the sacredness of Mother Earth from extraction.

20 years ago, on August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina tore through the Gulf South, making landfall near the Louisiana–Mississippi state line.
It was one of the most powerful and devastating storms in U.S. history—claiming over 2,000 lives, and displacing 100s of thousands. 🧵

control, not care.
