If a company needs that money from the government to get started/operate, that is indeed a handout. OR they could reframe the way they think about people who need social services & think those people need grants to cover their basic needs, then can have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

A guy in your comments tried to explain what grants were & simply stated they are not hand outs. People get so hung up on semantics & don't realize that the systemic racism in our society runs deep & affects speech. It's a matter of switching paradigms and they seem unable to do that.
