I don’t think I would ever make fun of Canadians even if I wanted to. I think if you grew up in the 80s or 90s in the US, you’ve always had, at least, the sneaking suspicion that they are MUCH funnier than we are.

The best metaphor is of two parents competing for the affection of a child and one does the right thing for the child's health, the other lies to the child, lets them eat like sht, doesn't make them attend school, or do anything the kid doesn't want to do.
