Being less judgmental of language etc and more understanding of the time it takes for people to adapt to cultural changes doesn't have to mean throwing marginalized groups under the bus in terms of legislation or ignoring the most dehumanizing rhetoric from those in power.

everything about what the Trump administration is doing regarding these votes is wrong, but I have read that they stop on a few islands to refuel and that there are even sometimes much larger boats or ships stationed in the open ocean for the fast boats to refuel.
