Civil servant for a civil society. Focus on CT regional info when available. Stay frosty.
🤑 doesn’t buy happiness, but it sure buys delusion… They all going to live on Mars? I hear there’s a heat problem there, too… 🤦‍♀️ smdh

Are we all organizing yet? Netflix and chill when you need to, but get out, talk to your neighbors, go to your city meetings, join the movement. It’s now or never.🌏🌱💪

This is the sign to keep going, because we are building the movement that will end this reign of terror.

Don’t be fooled though: escalating control attempts are because they’re scared shitless. They know we know. They know we’re organizing. They see how much stronger we’re becoming by organizing, & mobilizing change. This election cycle has them terrified, because all they have is the illusion of power.

They will try to eliminate any means of safety & security (unless it’s attributable to them), joy (unless you can praise them for it), predictability (unless it’s to solidify their control), rest (unless they’re bored with you), & connection (unless it’s with people who’re fooled by their act).

This is a scaled-up and painfully recognizable pattern in all high-control governments, and it mirrors the way narcissistic abusers are in 1-1 relationships. After they’ve established some foothold, any inkling that you’re pushing back on their grip triggers a response of trying to break you down.

The cost of AI is quite simple: the destruction of life on Earth. That’s not hyperbole, or hysteria, or lack of imagination about solar or nuclear power capacity; it’s an ecological fact. Talking about whether or not it gives people the ick is so insulting my 4 year old sees through it.

While attempting to address some of the (many) valid issues with AI, this article ends up being harmfully reductive. There’s no mention of the environmental & energy cost: AI, is in fact not sustainable at all. There’s no scenario where AI can exist at scale while life on earth is also sustained.
