Find ways to make life a little easier for people. That sounds obnoxiously reductive but is one of the only litmus tests I’ve ever been a fan of.

It’s pretty simple to me, in my simple-mindedness: I’ve worked for a couple of mayors and in and around government for most of my adult life. I’m also a former small business owner, with employees.
