Back to Bellingham, camp in Larabee State Park. The park has water access and beautiful hikes back up the mountain behind. September light and temperatures are perfect.

Passing through Park City Saturday we saw some street art with a shattered glass cover and a metal sign proclaiming Banksy. There were about 3 of us waiting to get a clean picture of it while this girl stood in front of it looking at her phone. Then Crystal realized she was part of it.

Each time we cross Utah we find fresh things to explore and great BLM land to camp on. We explored Goblin Valley first thing in the morning and then headed on to see Crystal’s Grandmother in Cedar City.

We finally left NOLA Monday, heading to Bellingham. It’s been a month since we slept in the van. Last night we stayed on a vineyard in Texas. The rain came and cooled us, then got strong and lightning flashed around us as the van rocked in the wind. Pooh declared a ‘Bath Day’ in the morning.

We finally left NOLA Monday, heading to Bellingham. It’s been a month since we slept in the van. Last night we stayed on a vineyard in Texas. The rain came and cooled us, then got strong and lightning flashed around us as the van rocked in the wind. Pooh declared a ‘Bath Day’ in the morning.
Key West. We missed Florida on our last cross country road trip 2022. This corner of the country has been on our list for a long time. It’s a little more difficult to navigate with a bird than New Orleans, but we are finding some old gems.

Charleston was fun, we had some great food and met up with a colleague from Shutterfly, but I got sick and a storm came through. We got a reservation at an RV Park to recover. Hot showers, laundry, WiFi. Pooh decided it was bath day for him too. He took over the sink since we had ‘full hookups’.

My cousin Clay has been introducing us to all kinds of quirky little parades like Krew Of Toast. Spent the afternoon wandering the streets of the Bywater with all these beautifully dressed fools and their airstream toaster float.

Made our way as far as the Garden District today in the Becak. Then returned exhausted for a great Po’ Boy in the Bywater at Frady’s One Stop. So good.

Got our becak out and hit the town. We did some bar hopping and stopped in to see Iko the cockatoo on Burgundy in the French Quarter.

Houston, we have a problem. Pooh who has been cooped up in a pet shop while we were traveling Baja, made his way to the top of a very tall tree in a beer garden. Visited with Veronica on our way to New Orleans
