Lo and behold, voter turnout in 2017 was 42%.

The challenge for any party/candidate is to get their supporters to vote. In other words, who are the 35-45% who will bother to cast ballots? .../5 #MontrealElection

So most of the "undecided" -- and even the decided -- are not going to vote. This is just an interpretation, but "undecided" seems like code for "don't care." A sad reality since municipal politics has a direct impact on people's lives. .../4 #MontrealElection

The highest municipal voter turnout in Montreal in the last half-century was just over 50%. The turnout has mostly hovered around 40% (above and below). .../3 #MontrealElection
